To all the friends and wonderful people I have met this last year…

Happy new years!

It’s been a massive year and so much has happened, so many photos were taken, so many people were met and much work was done. I’m thrilled to look back over the least year at one amazing portfolio. HUGE thankyous go to Moira Norwood, KasElf, Becca of Prophecy Makeup, Jackson Kennedy the hair dude, Mr Leon and the amazingly rad team at nuovogue photography. I love you guys so much. I couldn’t have wrestled through this year without you all.

Thankyou to all my fantastic clients who have stuck by me, trusted my work and loved the photos. It’s been an absolute pleasure to meet you. An even bigger thank you to all my continuing clients who have known and worked with me for many years. You guys keep this project on its feet.

2009 was the year when things really started to take off for us here. I look forward to the continuing success of this buisness over 2010. I’m already booked up to my eyeballs, so get in quick if you would like to book a shoot or get some retouching done. I smell another awesome year.

Trips to Brisbane, Melbourne and Falls Creek are on the cards, so if you are in those areas and are wanting to join in the crazy insane fun please get in touch. Shoot costs are fairly reasonable! Were especially looking for some outstanding portfolios from makeup artists for any shoots in those states, so send us one through if you are up for the challenge.

So… onwards and upwards for 2010…

Gee Greenslade

I missed a phone call this morning, but ended up getting a voice message from my uni telling me that I had won an award and that I had to be at the Grad Show to recieve it

Admittedly I was working on a few projects and didnt get the message untill about half an hour before the exhibition opening… wich meant I was indeed still in my pajamas (because lets face it… every photo retouch artist who works mostly from home spends most of their time in their pajamas – even if in this case I wasn’t at home… but at nuovogue – wich feels like a second home any way… pyjamas are the main uniform for people like us!)

Thinking to myself ”wait… Uni SA has a sense of humor?” (I’m not the worlds most amazing student) I called apon good friend Moira to come to the rescue and bring me in some nice clothes to wear and some makeup.

I made it to the opening wearing a nice floral number and the lovely lady on the phone indeed wasnt lying to me, I had won the Deborah Paauwe Award for Significant Achievement by a Student Majoring in Photography.

I feel pretty awesome today.

Thanks guys!

It’s the end of the year! It appears with that whole end of year thing comes more deadlines than usual, so if you don’t see me out and about at as many gigs then it’s likely I’m hiding away in the office preparing a whole stack of images ready for print.

I’m updating just before I run along to work just to mention that yes indeed this site looks different, thanks to a massive effort last night to give this thing an overhaul. That other site was driving me nuts with its ugly clunky feeling. Now were in for a smoother, hopefully sleeker looking site. It should be loading quicker as well. Nice!

Aside from that, I have a whole lot to update ya’all on (behind the scenes shots and WIP stuff…) so stay tuned for more updates

Did I ever mention I love my job?

A family shoot here, a couple of gigs here, an amazingly sickly sweet shoot with Gemma Vendetta and Aliens anal probing.

Cheers
